AiMA Celebrates The Evolution of Digital Marketing by Honoring Atlanta's Best Interactive Work

Atlanta, January 13th, 2010 The Atlanta Interactive Marketing Association (AiMA) is kicking off 2010 with an open call for entries for the third annual AiMA Awards. AiMA's signature awards event will be held Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Opera Atlanta. The theme of this year's AiMA Awards is "Then and Now, Celebrating the Evolution of Digital Marketing."

Established in 2008, AiMA Awards is the area's only award program dedicated exclusively to interactive marketing. Professionals from all walks of Atlanta's interactive community are invited to put their best Website, search, email, online video, social media and mobile campaigns forward to compete for the distinction of being recognized by industry experts and peers as Atlanta's best digital talent. Current sponsors for the AiMA Awards 2010 include Brandmovers Inc., Brightwave Marketing, EyeWonder, Microsoft Advertising and Sherpa Web Studios.

Interactive professionals are encouraged to submit their best work in any or all of the following categories: Most Effective Use of a Website, Most Effective Search Engine Marketing Program, Most Effective Online Brand Experience through Social Media, Most Effective Cross Channel Marketing, Most Effective Email Campaign and Most Effective Use of Video. This year two new categories have been added: Most Effective Local Campaign and Most Effective Mobile Campaign.

"Last October, we observed the 15th anniversary of the first banner display ad, so it's fitting that AiMA Awards 2010 celebrates the evolution of interactive marketing - now a $24 billion industry - with new award categories and an incredible venue," said AiMA President Jason Van Namen. "The interactive talent in Atlanta rivals that of any other market in the country and AiMA is proud to recognize the best from our community."

AiMA Awards 2010 will also feature the AiMA Awards Best of Show, which will recognize the highest scoring entry, and the AiMA People's Choice Award, which is selected from among the finalists by AiMA Awards Ceremony attendees via mobile device on the night of the event.

The call for entries begins Wed. January 13, 2010. All entries are due by Friday, February 26. Finalists will be announced on Thursday, April 8, 2010 and the winners will be announced at the Awards event on April 29. The program is open to all interactive professionals in the area - it is not necessary to be an AiMA member to participate. Award entry packets are available today via email request (this e-mail address is being protected from spambots) or view it online (you need JavaScript enabled to view it). On January 19, all award information and entry forms will be available via the new AiMA Awards Web site, www.aimaawards.com.
